Overview
PR Electric Direct ships high-value power equipment directly to customers across the United States and its territories. Every order is fulfilled on demand through our pre-shipment inspection process, ensuring each unit is verified and properly packaged before it leaves our facility. All standard shipments are delivered under our Free Insured Delivery service at no additional cost.

Free Insured Delivery
All orders shipped to the contiguous 48 United States, Puerto Rico main island, and the U.S. Virgin Islands are delivered under our Free Insured Delivery service. This means:
- No shipping cost — zero shipping fees, handling fees, or surcharges at checkout
- Full insurance — every shipment is insured for its total declared value at no cost to you
- Signature required — all deliveries require a signature to ensure your equipment reaches you securely
- Real-time tracking — tracking information provided via email upon dispatch
Extended Delivery Area
Shipments to Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, Vieques (ZIP 00765), and Culebra (ZIP 00775) require special carrier routing outside of standard freight networks. A flat surcharge of $150.00 applies to all orders destined for these locations.
This surcharge appears as "Extended Delivery Area — $150" as a line item at checkout when your delivery address is entered, before you confirm your order. All Extended Delivery Area shipments are fully insured. Estimated transit times for these destinations vary and will be communicated upon dispatch.
Order Fulfillment & Handling
We source products directly from manufacturers and inspect every unit before it ships. Here is what happens between when you place your order and when it leaves our facility:
PR Electric Direct is not responsible for delays in the handling period caused by manufacturer lead times, supply chain disruptions, or other circumstances outside of our direct control.

All timeframes are estimates, not guarantees. Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding U.S. federal holidays. Handling and transit periods may overlap in some cases, resulting in earlier delivery than the maximum estimate.
Carriers & Insurance
All shipments are dispatched via UPS, FedEx, DHL, or USPS at PR Electric Direct's discretion based on weight, dimensions, and destination. Every shipment is fully insured for its total declared value at no additional cost. In the event of loss or damage during transit, PR Electric Direct manages all insurance claims and coordinates resolution on your behalf.
Delivery Signature Requirement
A valid signature is required at the time of delivery for all orders without exception. Please ensure an authorized person is available to receive the shipment at your delivery address.
If a delivery attempt is unsuccessful, the carrier will make up to two additional attempts. After three failed attempts, the shipment may be held at the carrier's facility or returned to us. Re-delivery or re-shipment due to failed delivery attempts is at the customer's expense.
Damage Upon Delivery
Inspect the outer packaging before signing. If you notice visible damage to the packaging at delivery:
- Refuse the shipment — do not sign for it under any circumstances
- Contact us immediately by phone at (248) 289-3149 or via our contact form
- PR Electric Direct will file the insurance claim and arrange a replacement at no cost to you
If you sign for a shipment with damaged packaging without noting the damage on the carrier's delivery record, your ability to file a successful insurance claim is significantly reduced. Claims for damage on signed-for shipments are evaluated case-by-case and are not guaranteed. Always inspect packaging before signing.
Delays & Force Majeure
PR Electric Direct is not liable for delays caused by circumstances outside our control, including carrier disruptions, severe weather, natural disasters, port or customs congestion, labor disputes, public health emergencies, or government restrictions. In the event of a significant delay, we will communicate updates and work to facilitate delivery as quickly as conditions allow. Such delays do not entitle the customer to cancellation or refund.
Order Cancellation & Address Errors
Once an order is confirmed and transmitted for fulfillment, it cannot be cancelled or modified, including changes to the delivery address. Please double-check your address at checkout — including street address, unit number, city, ZIP code, and territory.
PR Electric Direct is not responsible for failed or misdirected deliveries caused by an incorrect or incomplete address entered at checkout. Re-shipment due to address errors is at the customer's expense, including all applicable shipping and handling costs.
