In no case shall PR Electric Direct, our directors, officers, employees, affiliates, agents, contractors, interns, suppliers, service providers, or licensors be liable for any injury, loss, claim, or any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, special, or consequential damages of any kind, including, without limitation, lost profits, lost revenue, lost savings, loss of data, replacement costs, or any similar damages, whether based in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or otherwise, arising from your use of any of the service or any products procured using the service.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PR Electric Direct and our parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, officers, directors, agents, contractors, licensors, service providers, subcontractors, suppliers, interns, and employees, harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of your breach of these Terms of Service or the documents they incorporate by reference, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.
Severability
In the event that any provision of these Terms of Service is determined to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, such provision shall nonetheless be enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, and the unenforceable portion shall be deemed to be severed from these Terms of Service. Such determination shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any other remaining provisions.
Governing Law
These Terms of Service and any separate agreements whereby we provide you Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable to the jurisdiction in which PR Electric Direct operates. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the applicable courts.
Return & Exchange Policy
The following Return & Exchange Policy is incorporated in full into these Terms & Conditions. By agreeing to these Terms at checkout, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to all provisions set forth in Sections 18.1 through 18.9 below. This policy is also published as a standalone document at prelectricdirect.com/refund_returns for reference.
All Sales Final
All purchases made through prelectricdirect.com are final and non-refundable. PR Electric Direct does not accept returns, issue refunds, or process cancellations after an order has been confirmed and transmitted for fulfillment.
The following circumstances do not constitute grounds for a return, refund, or exchange under any condition:
- Change of mind or no longer wanting the item
- Ordering the incorrect product
- Finding a lower price through another vendor
- Dissatisfaction with product performance within manufacturer specifications
- Delays in shipping or delivery outside of our control
- Cosmetic variations that do not affect unit functionality
Customers are strongly encouraged to review all product specifications, dimensions, fuel requirements, and intended use cases prior to placing an order. Our team is available via contact form or by phone at (248) 289-3149 to answer pre-purchase questions.
Defective Unit Claims
A defective unit claim may be initiated exclusively in the event of a verified manufacturing defect — defined as a fault in materials or workmanship that renders the unit unable to perform its primary function under normal operating conditions as described in the product listing.
All defective unit claims must be submitted within 7 calendar days of the confirmed delivery date as recorded by the carrier's tracking system. The delivery date is determined solely by the carrier's final delivery scan. Claims submitted after this 7-day window will not be accepted or reviewed under any circumstances, regardless of when the defect was discovered.
To initiate a claim, the customer must contact PR Electric Direct via our contact form or by phone at (248) 289-3149, providing the order number and a description of the defect at the time of first contact.
Evidence Requirements
All defective unit claims must be accompanied by clear photo or video documentation of the alleged defect submitted at the time of the initial claim. Documentation must be sufficient to allow our team to identify the nature and location of the defect without physical inspection of the unit.
Acceptable documentation includes:
- Video demonstrating the defect under normal operating conditions
- Clear photographs of the affected component or area
- Photographs of any visible damage to the unit that appeared upon delivery
Claims submitted without supporting documentation will not be reviewed until adequate evidence is provided. The 7-day claim window is not extended to accommodate the gathering of documentation after initial contact.
Resolution
Upon review and verification of a valid defective unit claim, PR Electric Direct will determine the appropriate resolution at our sole and exclusive discretion. Available resolutions include, but are not limited to:
- Partial credit or discount applied toward a future purchase or against the original order balance
- Covered repair whereby PR Electric Direct bears the cost of repair through an authorized service facility
- Exchange for the same model or, at the customer's request, a different model with any applicable price difference charged or credited accordingly
The customer does not have the right to select or demand a specific form of resolution. PR Electric Direct will communicate the approved resolution in writing via email or phone following completion of the claim review. All resolutions are final and not subject to further negotiation.
All defective unit claims are reviewed within 2 business days of receipt of complete documentation.
Exchange Process
Where an exchange has been approved and authorized by PR Electric Direct, the following process shall govern the return and replacement of the unit:
- The customer will receive written confirmation of the approved exchange via email or phone prior to shipping any item.
- PR Electric Direct will issue a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to the customer.
- The customer must tender the packaged unit to the designated carrier within 5 business days of receiving the prepaid label. Failure to do so will result in cancellation of the approved exchange.
- Upon receipt of the returned unit at our facility, our technicians will conduct a full inspection as described in Section 18.7.
- Upon confirmation of the verified defect, the replacement unit or approved resolution will be processed and dispatched within 3 to 5 business days.
No replacement unit will be shipped, and no alternative resolution will be fulfilled, prior to the receipt and inspection of the returned unit.
Customer Packaging Responsibility
The customer bears sole responsibility for the safe and secure packaging of any unit being returned to PR Electric Direct. The unit must be packaged in a manner sufficient to prevent damage during transit, including but not limited to the use of appropriate cushioning materials, a structurally sound outer box, and secure sealing.
PR Electric Direct is not responsible for any damage sustained by the unit during return transit that is attributable to inadequate packaging by the customer. Units received in a damaged condition due to insufficient packaging will be evaluated accordingly during inspection, and such damage shall not be treated as a pre-existing or manufacturing defect.
Customers are advised to retain proof of drop-off and tracking information for the return shipment until the exchange or resolution has been confirmed in writing.
Inspection Upon Return
Every unit returned to PR Electric Direct is subject to a thorough inspection by our certified technicians upon arrival at our facility. The purpose of this inspection is to verify the existence and nature of the reported defect as described in the submitted claim.
The inspection will assess, among other factors:
- Whether the reported defect is present and reproducible
- Whether the defect is consistent with a manufacturing fault or attributable to user error, misuse, or improper maintenance
- The overall condition of the unit relative to its described state at the time of the claim
- Whether any damage occurred during return transit due to packaging failure
The results of this inspection are determinative and final. PR Electric Direct reserves the right to adjust or rescind the approved resolution based on inspection findings that materially differ from the submitted claim.
Fraudulent Claims
PR Electric Direct maintains a strict policy against fraudulent defect claims. Submitting a defective unit claim that is knowingly false, exaggerated, or unsupported by the facts is a violation of these Terms and may have legal and financial consequences for the customer.
If a returned unit is inspected and found to contain no manufacturing defect consistent with the submitted claim, the exchange request will be immediately denied. The customer will be invoiced for all shipping and handling costs incurred by PR Electric Direct in connection with the claim, including the cost of the outbound prepaid return label and any associated logistics or processing fees. These charges become due immediately upon invoicing.
PR Electric Direct reserves the right to refuse future service, at our sole discretion, to any customer found to have submitted a fraudulent or materially misleading defect claim.
We encourage all customers with genuine concerns about their unit to contact us in good faith. Our team is committed to resolving legitimate defect claims fairly and efficiently.
Exclusions
The following conditions are expressly excluded from coverage under this policy and do not constitute a manufacturing defect regardless of when or how they are reported:
- Damage resulting from improper use, operation outside of specified parameters, or failure to follow the product's operating instructions
- Damage caused directly or indirectly by the customer, including physical impact, liquid exposure, or improper storage
- Normal wear and tear consistent with regular use of the product
- Cosmetic damage, including scratches, dents, or discoloration, that does not impair the functional operation of the unit
- Damage resulting from failure to perform required maintenance, including but not limited to oil levels, fuel quality, and filter condition
- Units reported after the 7-calendar-day notification window has elapsed
- Claims submitted without the required photo or video documentation
- Items listed as final sale, clearance, or otherwise marked as non-exchangeable at the time of purchase

Shipping Policy
The following Shipping Policy is incorporated in full into these Terms & Conditions. By agreeing to these Terms at checkout, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to all provisions set forth in Sections 20.1 through 20.10 below. This policy is also published as a standalone document at prelectricdirect.com/shipping for reference.
Shipping Destinations & Coverage
PR Electric Direct ships to the following destinations within the United States and its territories:
- Free Insured Delivery: The contiguous 48 United States, Puerto Rico (main island), and the U.S. Virgin Islands
- Extended Delivery Area — $150 surcharge: Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, and the Puerto Rico island municipalities of Vieques (ZIP 00765) and Culebra (ZIP 00775)
The $150 Extended Delivery Area surcharge is automatically applied at checkout when an eligible destination address is entered. No order to an Extended Delivery Area destination will be fulfilled without this surcharge being confirmed and collected at the time of purchase.
PR Electric Direct does not fulfill orders to any international destination outside of the U.S. territories listed above. Orders placed with a non-serviceable delivery address will be cancelled and the customer will be notified.
Free Insured Delivery
All orders shipped to the contiguous 48 United States, Puerto Rico main island, and the U.S. Virgin Islands are delivered under our Free Insured Delivery service at no additional cost to the customer. No shipping fees, handling fees, or surcharges are applied at checkout or after purchase for these destinations. Every shipment under this service is fully insured for its total declared value at no cost to the customer.
Free Insured Delivery applies to all products in our catalog unless explicitly noted otherwise on the product listing at the time of purchase.
Extended Delivery Area
Shipments to Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, Vieques, and Culebra require special carrier routing outside of standard ground freight networks. A flat surcharge of $150.00 per order applies to all shipments to these destinations. This surcharge is presented as a named line item — "Extended Delivery Area — $150" — at checkout prior to order confirmation and is collected at the time of purchase.
All Extended Delivery Area shipments are fully insured for their total declared value. Estimated transit times for Extended Delivery Area destinations vary by location and carrier availability and will be communicated to the customer upon dispatch.
Order Fulfillment & Handling
PR Electric Direct operates an on-demand fulfillment model. Products are sourced directly from manufacturers and are not shipped from pre-stocked inventory. This model allows us to offer competitive pricing and ensures customers receive the most current inventory available from the source.
Upon receipt of a confirmed order, the following handling process is completed before any shipment is dispatched:
- The order is transmitted to the manufacturer or supplier for preparation and dispatch to our facility
- Upon arrival at our facility, each unit undergoes a visual inspection for manufacturing defects and transit damage
- The unit is repackaged in a secondary protective outer box and sealed with industrial tape to withstand the demands of freight transit
- Shipping documentation and carrier arrangements are finalized
This handling process requires 5 to 7 business days from the date of order confirmation. Business days are defined as Monday through Friday, excluding U.S. federal holidays. Customers will be notified via email once their shipment has been dispatched and a tracking number has been assigned.
PR Electric Direct is not responsible for delays in the handling period caused by manufacturer lead times, supply chain disruptions, carrier availability, or any other circumstances outside of our direct control.
Transit Time
Following dispatch from our facility, estimated transit times to standard destinations are as follows:
- Contiguous 48 United States: 5 to 7 business days from dispatch
- Puerto Rico (main island) & U.S. Virgin Islands: 5 to 7 business days from dispatch
- Extended Delivery Area (Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, Vieques, Culebra): Transit times vary and will be communicated at time of dispatch
The total estimated time from order placement to delivery for standard destinations is 10 to 14 business days under normal operating conditions, inclusive of the 5–7 business day handling period and 5–7 business day transit period.
All transit timeframes are estimates and not contractual guarantees. PR Electric Direct is not liable for delays attributable to carrier operations, weather conditions, peak shipping volumes, port or customs processing, or any other circumstances outside of our direct control. The handling period and transit period may overlap in some cases, resulting in earlier delivery than the maximum estimate.
Carriers & Insurance
All shipments are dispatched via UPS, FedEx, DHL, or USPS at PR Electric Direct's discretion, based on the weight, dimensions, destination, and availability of each order. The customer does not have the right to specify a preferred carrier.
Every shipment is fully insured for its total declared value at no cost to the customer. Real-time tracking information will be provided to the customer via email upon dispatch. PR Electric Direct bears responsibility for coordinating all insurance claims in the event of loss or damage during transit.
Delivery Signature Requirement
A valid signature is required at the time of delivery for all orders without exception. Customers must ensure that an authorized person is available to receive and sign for the shipment at the delivery address provided at checkout.
If a delivery attempt is unsuccessful due to the customer's absence, the carrier will make up to two additional attempts in accordance with the carrier's standard redelivery policy. After three failed delivery attempts, the shipment may be held at the carrier's local facility for customer pickup or returned to PR Electric Direct's facility at the carrier's discretion.
Re-delivery or re-shipment of a package returned due to failed delivery attempts will be arranged at the customer's expense. PR Electric Direct is not responsible for additional shipping costs incurred as a result of failed delivery attempts caused by the customer's unavailability.
Damage Upon Delivery
Customers must inspect the outer packaging of their shipment at the time of delivery before signing for receipt. If visible damage to the outer packaging is observed at the time of delivery, the customer must refuse the shipment and contact PR Electric Direct immediately by phone at (248) 289-3149 or through our contact form. Do not sign for a visibly damaged shipment under any circumstances.
PR Electric Direct will manage all insurance filings and coordinate a replacement shipment at no additional cost to the customer for all refused damaged shipments.
Damage claims for shipments that were accepted and signed for at delivery without notation of visible damage will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed to result in a replacement. Once a customer signs for a shipment without recording damage on the carrier's delivery record, the ability to file a successful insurance claim is significantly reduced. Customers are strongly advised to inspect all outer packaging carefully before signing.
Delays & Force Majeure
PR Electric Direct shall not be held liable for shipping delays or non-delivery resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: carrier service disruptions, natural disasters, severe weather events, port or customs congestion, labor disputes, public health emergencies, power outages, or government-imposed restrictions on transit or commerce.
In the event of a significant delay caused by such circumstances, PR Electric Direct will communicate updates to the affected customer as information becomes available and will work to facilitate delivery as promptly as conditions allow. Such delays do not constitute a breach of these Terms and do not entitle the customer to a cancellation or refund.
Order Cancellation & Address Errors
Once an order has been confirmed and transmitted for fulfillment, it cannot be cancelled or modified for any reason, including changes to the delivery address. Customers are solely responsible for ensuring the complete accuracy of their delivery address at the time of checkout, including street address, unit or apartment number, city, ZIP code, and territory.
PR Electric Direct is not responsible for failed, delayed, or misdirected deliveries resulting from an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the customer at the time of purchase. Any re-shipment required as a result of a customer address error will be arranged at the customer's expense, including all applicable shipping and handling costs.
